their music is a mixture of electro rock
and weirdo pop: on the debut “give me a
frame” .computer.. from hamburg/berlin
combine warm guitar tunes with bouncing
beats as well as sweet synth sounds with
melancholic vocals.

when they initially played live by the end
of 2005, the metal audience of a little
village was quite irritated by the
electronic beats. about now .computer..
look back at support-tours for sweden’s
“moonbabies” as well as the post rock band
“sometree” from berlin.

the typical sound of .computer.. cannot
only be found on their own records. in
2006 the band remixed the sometree single
“hands and arrows”. the version is included
on the same titled tour ep (pop-u-loud/pias).
.computer.. also made a version of a song by
hamburg’s electronic artist finn. the remix
of “x+variables” can be found on the album
“the nays will have it”
(sunday service/hausmusik).

when playing live, .computer.. transfer
the atmosphere of their music to stage.
they put up a whole living-room with floor
lamp, antique radio and seats. berlin visual
artist robert heel supplies the shows with
urban impressions. by that, everything keeps
floating with .computer.. live as well as
on the record.



ihre musik ist ein mix aus elektro-rock und
frickel-pop: auf ihrem debüt „give me a frame“
(pop-u-loud/pias/rough trade) verschmelzen
.computer.. warme gitarren und drückende beats
mit filigranen synthie-sounds und
melancholischen vocals.

beim ersten auftritt ende 2005 fiel dem
metal-publikum einer dorfgaststätte noch die
kinnlade nach unten, als die ersten
.computer..-beats aus den boxen wummerten.
mittlerweile blickt das trio auf support-touren
für die „moonbabies“ (s) und die berliner
postrocker „sometree“ zurück.

der typische .computer..-sound findet sich
nicht mehr nur auf den eigenen platten des
trios: 2006 drückten .computer.. dem
sometree-song „hands and arrows“ ihren ganz
eigenen stempel auf. das ergebnis findet sich
auf der gleichnamigen tour-ep (pop-u-loud/pias).
auch an ein stück des hamburger künstlers finn.
legte die band hand: die version von
„x+variables“ ist auf der finn.-platte
„the nays will have it“ (sunday service/hausmusik)
zu hören.

wenn .computer.. live spielen, wird es
atmosphärisch: neben dem bühnenwohnzimmer
mit stehlampe, antikem röhrenradio und
polstersesseln lässt der berliner visual artist
robert heel urbane impressionen über die köpfe
der band hinweg fließen. so bleibt alles im fluss
bei .computer.. – live wie auch auf platte.
